Bandwidth Spreadsheet
This highly useful, Excel(TM) spreadsheet performs the calculation of effective bandwidth for 850 nm and 1300 nm multimode fibers and for 1310 singlemode fibers. We use this spreadsheet in our fiber optic network design program.
The spreadsheet provides conservative real bandwidth values based on link length, fiber type, wavelength and spectral width. This spreadsheet is based on equations released by Corning in the early 1990s. We do not support or guarantee the numbers in this spreadsheet, but Corning personnel reviewed it and found no problems.
